So it Begins....
School is slowly creeping closer with 2 and 1/2 weeks left. My program induction is in 1 and 1/2 weeks. I couldn't be more excited especially as my scrubs came in this morning and I have my dental kit; which includes a model of a mouth and looks quite humorous.
Dental Assisting Program Orientation
I'm so excited for tomorrow's program orientation for the Dental Assisting Program. We will be going more in-depth on the program, such as classes and ordering our scrubs! Can't wait for tomorrow!
Halfway Done!
Finished my second TB screening today and tested negative again! I also ordered my Dental Assisting Kit for this upcoming term!!! So excited! I just have my background check and random drug testing left, but that is up to the college when they randomly email me. So ready for next term!!!
Healthcare Provider CPR and AED Training
Today was a fun experience as I completed the course for my Healthcare Provider CPR and AED training. The course was interesting with a mix of adult and baby dummies, some of which looked like the blue babies stepped out of a supernatural horror film and the adults all blue in color from a "lack" of oxygen. Overall it was a great experience, in which I got to meet many of my classmates for the next year. I'm so excited to have one more step down in preparation for school next year. I only have a few requirements left and then I'm ready for school!
Beginning of Dental Assisting
I'm beginning the first steps toward the program next year, as I have a CPR class on Wednesday and I have some immunization and screening tests coming up. I can't wait!!!! These next two months will fly by, then I'll start DA School!!
Inspiring Quote from a Current Reading Book
"Your living your life for you right now. You aren't worrying that what you do today will be judged by your children. A time of consequence for every action we take is inevitable, yet we don't give it much thought because it seems so far away in the present moment. No one is perfect. I'm not sure how the theory came to fruition that parents should be an exception to that rule. All souls have some light and dark in them. Think of how freeing it would be if you could turn to the people you love and say, 'I'm not perfect. I never will be. I've made mistakes and some of them I'm very sorry for, but every choice, every experience, is a lesson. It makes me who I am. I'm a work in progress and I'm doing the best I can.'"

Admissions to Dental Assisting Program
I received my letter of admissions to the Dental Assisting Program for the 2015-2016 school year today! I am so excited to begin on my path to my career!
End of Term!
The term is drawing to close and I have my application submitted to the Dental Assisting Program. I have my fingers crossed as I learned there are 47 applicants and 30 seats. I won't find out until the end of June or July whether or not I have gotten into the application.
Argument Paper
I picked my topic for my argument paper for my college writing 121 class. Oh boy, did I underestimate my topic and how much I would have to hold my tongue when people told me their opinions and beliefs. I chose the research question of; Why do we censorship book in high school courses in the US when we should be teaching young adults choice?
